Elementary Curriculum Standards
The Archdiocese of Chicago’s curriculum in ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies and Physical Education are aligned to the Illinois Learning Standards, Common Core State Standards, and the Next Generation Science Standards. The religion standards are designed to promote our Catholic identity and faith in the lives of our students with an emphasis on our creed, sacraments, Christian living, scriptures, liturgy, prayer and history of the Catholic Church, parish life and vocations. The Archdiocese of Chicago’s curriculum standards are implemented by teachers in our schools to prepare our students as they encounter an increasingly complex, and information filled, local and global community.
