About Us

Compromiso con todos los estudiantes

The vision of our Catholic schools is to provide all people in the Archdiocese of Chicago with vibrant, high quality Catholic schools that are available, accessible and affordable.

The mission of the Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic Schools is to provide an excellent Christ-centered education to enable each child to reach their greatest potential. We strive to educate the whole child — academically, spiritually, physically and emotionally — through an environment of faith, compassion and academic rigor. An important part of our mission is our commitment to serve all families. Our Catholic schools welcome families from a variety of racial, economic and religious backgrounds.

Our Inclusive Education program shares knowledge and best practices to empower Catholic educators to better serve students with differing needs. A number of Archdiocesan schools work to include students with various learning requirements. How those services are provided vary from school to school. The best way to determine if an Archdiocesan school is a good fit for a special needs child is to contact the school principal or reach out to our Director of Inclusive Education at the Office of Catholic Schools.

In recent years, the Archdiocese has worked to expand the amount of financial aid available to families. The To Teach Who Christ Is Capital Campaign helped to start a new tuition scholarship that is available to families at designated schools, based upon the family’s income level. For more information regarding scholarships and financial aid, please contact your new, current or prospective Catholic school.
