APPOINTED ACTING CO-SUPERINTENDENTS
Jimmy Lago, Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Chicago, has appointed Sr. Judith Cauley, C.S.J., and Marty Frauenheim as acting co-superintendents of the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Office of Catholic Schools.
Sr. Cauley is currently the associate superintendent for system vitality, and has more than 43 years of experience in Catholic education. She joined the Archdiocese as assistant superintendent in 1998 after serving consecutive, three-year terms as superintendent of Catholic schools for the Diocese of Colorado Springs and associate superintendent for the Archdiocese of Denver. Sr. Cauley completed graduate studies at the Gestalt Institute, the Institute for Spiritual Leadership, the Woman’s Leadership Institute and earned her bachelor's and master’s degrees in education from St. John College in Cleveland, Ohio.
Frauenheim is currently the associate superintendent of curriculum and instruction for the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Office of Catholic Schools. Before joining the Archdiocese in 2005, Frauenheim served as principal of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School in Dallas, TX for six years. Prior to that, she was principal at Corpus Christi Catholic School, and assistant principal for curriculum development at Pauline Memorial Catholic School, both in Colorado Springs. Frauenheim earned her bachelor’s degree from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY and her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, with an emphasis in educational leadership, from the University of Colorado.
Sr. Cauley and Frauenheim will serve as acting co-superintendents until a new superintendent is hired and can assume the responsibilities of this position.
