THREE ARCHDIOCESE OF CHICAGO TEACHERS NAMED AS FINALISTS
FOR THE 2007 KOHL MCCORMICK
EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHING AWARDS

 
 

Chicago, IL (April 12, 2007)- Three Archdiocese of Chicago educators, Elizabeth Grelle, kindergarten teacher at Frances Xavier Warde School, 751 N. State St., Chicago, Marta Ostrowska, preschool teacher at St. Ferdinand School, 3131 N. Mason Ave., Chicago, and Renee Rosenbusch, kindergarten teacher at St. Monica School, 5115 N. Mont Clare Ave., Chicago, have been named as finalists for the 2007 Kohl McCormick Early Childhood Teaching Awards.

These Archdiocesan teachers are among 23 outstanding educators that exemplify dedication, innovation, leadership, respect for children and their families and a commitment to professional growth in Cook County's preschools, childcare centers, government programs and kindergarten through third-grade classrooms.

Following a final application process, five best-in-field winners will be announced later this month, and each will be honored at the 2007 Kohl McCormick Early Childhood Teaching Awards luncheon ceremony, June 5 at the Westin River North in Chicago.

Ms. Grelle resides in Chicago's Lincoln Park area, Ms. Ostrowska lives in northwest suburban Mt. Prospect, and Ms. Rosenbusch is from Chicago's Jefferson Park neighborhood.

The McCormick Tribune Foundation and the Dolores Kohl Education Foundation sponsor the Kohl McCormick Early Childhood Teaching Awards program.
