MARY IANNUCILLI NAMED
ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT FOR HIGH SCHOOLS

CHICAGO (May 1, 2006) Mary Iannucilli has been named assistant superintendent for high schools for the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Office of Catholic Schools. In this position, she will serve the principals, presidents and religious communities that oversee the 40 Catholic high schools in Cook and Lake counties.

“With more than 30 years of experience as a Catholic school teacher, high school principal and administrator, Ms. Iannucilli is extremely well-suited for this position,” noted Nicholas Wolsonovich, Ph.D., Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of Chicago. “Her work with numerous archdiocesan and academic programs and initiatives will be a valuable asset for the Catholic high school community.”

Iannucilli comes to the Archdiocese from Seton Academy in South Holland, where she has served as principal for the past seven years. Prior to that assignment, she was principal at Lourdes High School on Chicago’s southwest side, and also served for a time as a high school consultant in the Office of Catholic Schools. Earlier in her career, Iannucilli served as Dean of Students at Academy of Our Lady High School after working at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and as an elementary and secondary teacher for the Chicago Public Schools.

Iannucilli, who resides in Alsip, received a bachelor’s degree from Dominican University in River Forest. She also holds a masters degree in school administration from Chicago State University and Governors State University and earned a master’s degree from the University of South Alabama in counselor education. Iannucilli is a member of the National Catholic Educational Association, Spiritual Directors International, and several other professional organizations.
