CHICAGO (June
27, 2002)
Today's decision
by the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold parent's right to choose how
they will use public funds to educate their children, signals a
new era for all private schools.
We're pleased with the court's ruling, for it confirms that when
public funds are made available equally to all, that faith-based
schools are treated equitably.
This decision
affirms that the U.S. Supreme Court believes in giving parents a
choice in educating their children. This will empower parents and
will strengthen both government and non-government schools.
The common good
of all citizens will be served by this decision. This is definitely
a victory for children.
