Administrator Openings
Principal applicants must be approved by the Office of Catholic Schools to seek an administrative position in the schools of the Archdiocese of Chicago.
The qualifications for principals in the elementary schools of the Archdiocese of Chicago are as follows:
- The principal must be a practicing Catholic who evidences knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith. A letter from your pastor will be needed.
- The principal shall have a master's degree or further in school administration and have state certification in
both teaching and administration.
- The principal shall have a minimum of three years (full-time) professional experience in a Catholic school, e.g., teacher, administrator.
- The principal shall have or be working toward certification as Coordinator of Religious Education as stipulated by the Office of Catholic Schools.
